Loyal followers of the pop star are demanding that a man who jumped a barricade and grabbed the performer during the recent Wicked: For Good launch be taken into custody or expelled from Singapore.

A widely shared video depicts the person identified as Johnson Wen bypassing media personnel and rushing toward Grande while the cast made its way down a event pathway flanked by fans.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo promptly wrested the shocked actress away from Mr Wen, who was seen being removed of the premiere by event staff.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "let go after being arrested", though official papers showed that he was set to be present on the next day. It is not clear if he was charged.

Record of Disruptions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Troll Most Hated", has crashed a celebrity gathering. His Instagram profile contains recordings of him interrupting other high-profile occasions, including rushing the platform at Katy Perry's Sydney performance in June this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers concert in the area last year.

"There needs to be action enforced against him as this is obviously a punishable act," commented an Instagram follower, in a message to a video Mr Wen posted of his behavior.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" one Instagram user questioned.

Supporters Voice Worry Over Ariana's Past Trauma

Numerous fans accused Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had revealed suffering from trauma-related anxiety after a suicide bomb attack at the end of her May 2017 show in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and wounding many.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" said a further response on Instagram.

A number of fans also faulted guards at the Thursday event for not being sufficiently alert; while different individuals demanded digital services to ban Mr Wen's content.

Aftermath and Premiere Information

In videos shared widely, Grande seemed startled when she was grabbed by the man. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed consoling her while Mr Wen was removed by security.

Grande has not commented on the event, and the premiere activities proceeded as normal.

Many of attendees had congregated in a crowd of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good regional debut in a Singapore shopping center, including some who had stood in line for as long as a significant duration before it started.

The film, to be released on the 21st of November, is the second of a two-part version of the acclaimed Broadway and West End musical Wicked, which revolves around the unexpected bond between two distinct sorceresses.

The musical itself is a adaptation of the classic children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the character Glinda Glinda, was decked out in a rosé glittering gown at the event while Erivo, who plays the Elphaba, wore a black tube gown embroidered with roses.

They were alongside co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the top-earning movie of the previous year in the UK, and earned ten Oscar nominations, earning two for outstanding attire and artistic direction.
