Football Expert Sutton Faces Off Against Singer Murs in Top Flight Predictions

The Gunners' 10-game victorious streak was ended by the Black Cats before the international break, but can the Premier League frontrunners bounce back against north London rivals Spurs this weekend?

"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," stated football specialist Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still manage to win."

The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this season, against AI, fans and a range of special visitors.

In week 12, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United fan.

The singer's latest album, the new release, is available on the weekend.

Football and Parenting Life

Murs is a talented soccer player as well as a accomplished singer and has been a featured player of several Soccer Aid matches over time - but he is not planning a serious return as a footballer.

"{I actually played in a charity game the other evening for a mate of mine," he said. "The team was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the second half, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!

"I still love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it even now hasn't fully recovered. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my career to do it seriously again.

"Plus I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the time that my daughter or boy decides to play instead."

Murs and his spouse Amelia Tank have a young family, their daughter and their son, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by taking on the role of their coach.

"I won't force football on our children but I've previously told Amelia that if they do get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will probably be managing their Saturday football team," he added.

"I observed my nephews play a lot, and I really got into it, and I clearly was involved with a soccer team for a while too.

"My father coached with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I get it from. He managed our side for two or three seasons and had great fun with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Premier League Predictions

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues might have to be patient for Cole Palmer's comeback from injury but their offense is now stronger with Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.

I still think this game will be quite tight, however. Burnley are disciplined and their sole at Turf Moor losses so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.

This suggests a one-all draw to me, but I am in fact going to choose Chelsea to edge it for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.

The expert's prediction: 1-2

Olly's pick: The Blues will be too strong. 1-3

AI's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have lost their past two matches - although both of them were on the road - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which shocked me.

In contrast, the Hammers won two in a row before the hiatus and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they appear competitive again.

West Ham's only away win this campaign came at Forest in the summer, when their manager Nuno was previously Forest manager.

So, what exactly do I predict here - can the Hammers extending their streak under Nuno, or Bournemouth responding?

I will go with Bournemouth, because I believe what occurred against Aston Villa was a anomaly.

Sutton's prediction: 2-0

Olly's outlook: The home team are doing well but the visitors have picked up under their boss. 2-2

AI's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were considered one of the frontrunners for relegation before the campaign began, but they have impressed a several people under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three wins in their last four games.

My son advised me to get Bees forward Thiago in my Fantasy Football team a few weeks back and, guess what, I didn't listen.

The forward will probably score again on Saturday but I am still not going to pick him or back the away side at Brighton's ground.

They have not had great success on the road this season, and the Seagulls are always decent at home. Brentford will try to attack on the break but I think the home manager's side carry much more of a threat.

Sutton's forecast: 2-1

The singer's prediction: It could be a match where you think there is going to be a lot of goals but it actually proves to be quite tight. 1-1

The computer's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a massive fixture for the Cottagers, who have lost five of their last six matches.

They have have lots of talent in their squad but it still feels like they could be sucked into a relegation fight.

As for the Black Cats, indeed they are the surprise package of the Premier League season so far.

Their performance in the two-all draw with Arsenal last time out was excellent. We've not witnessed any other team disrupt the North London side like that this term, and they were fully competitive for them.

The sensible thing would be to support the visitors here, because they are clearly able of roughing the hosts up too and, the last time they were in this part of London, they defeated Chelsea at the end of last month.

However I am not going to choose that. Instead, I truly need to carry on opposing Sunderland with my predictions. I am taking a lot of credit for their positive results because they clearly enjoy to prove me wrong.

Looking at the home side's home record, the sole side they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Their manager's side will be absolutely desperate for a good result, so I am going to say they will pick up three points.

Sutton's forecast: 1-0

Olly's prediction: I know Sunderland are performing strongly and also that the hosts are on a poor run... but they have nonetheless been respectable at home this campaign. 2-0

AI's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a tough fixture to predict. The Reds have lost seven of their past 10 matches in all competitions, but might they be among the sides who profit from the {international break|
