Iran's Declared Retaliation

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard declared it was attacking American facilities and interests as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in retaliation for the attack on Iran initiated by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday morning.

That initial attack - initiated at around 06:15 GMT - has so far targeted areas associated with the Iranian leadership, with President Trump encouraging the people of Iran to revolt against the regime.

In the State of Israel, air raid sirens sounded nationwide after the Israel Defense Forces stated it had detected an incoming Iranian missile barrage.

The Ministry of Defence of the United Arab Emirates announced that the country has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
