The second-hand shopping app has updated its sizing categories for women's and children's clothes failing to inform all users about the change. Online Platforms Response Countless users and merchants are expressing on platforms saying Vinted listings now show a different size category than originally posted because of the remapping. The company said the updated approach better aligns with similar services. The platform has recommended to review their products and manually change the size when needed, causing user dissatisfaction. Size Classification Modifications Previously, the sizes had both one number and one letter, like S/8 or M/10. The revised method features a letter with a size spectrum for example S/UK 8-10. In some cases, the size labels have been reassigned - such as a large size used to be a 12 but is now a UK 16-18. Shopper Stories Frankie Bridger, who produces content about larger sizing, explained the modification "makes transactions more difficult". "Few clothing companies classify XL as 20-22," as the platform currently indicates. A different member, from Glasgow, said garments she listed featuring size 14 markings were showing in the marketplace as size 20–22. "If buyers measuring 20-22 acquire them they may become frustrated," she explained. Manual Updates A different user, located in England, said she had been left angered because the modification necessitated personal updates the sizes on "every single listing". "For me this is particularly frustrating, because of my ongoing medical condition and selling on Vinted has been paramount for me since losing part of my income," she explained.
